Academic juridical corporation
Tokyo Kogakuin Japanese Language School is an academic juridical corporation set up based on the strict standard of the Private School Law for the foreigner who hopes to enter national, public, private universities, the graduate schools, the junior colleges or vocational colleges in Japan.
We belong to an academic juridical corporation, which includes Tokyo Kogakuin College (Department of Architecture, Electronic, Electric, Information Technology, Information and Business, Computer Graphics, Image Production, Sound Production, Manga, Animation Production, Graphic Design, Child Care, Sports) and Tokyo Air Travel and Hotel College, (Department of Sight Seeing, Travel, Airlines, Beauty Care, Hospitality, English, Unversity Studies).
Long History
We are one of the oldest Japanese Language Schools with more than 40 years of Japanese language teaching history since 1971.
Conditions of Location and Environment
We are about 5 min. walk from the Southern exit of Shinjyuku station and 3 min. walk from the East exit of Yoyogi station. There is a department store and a big book shop near by. There is Shinjyuku Imperial Park which is famous for cherry blossoms on the other side of the street.
Facilities
Our building which is owned by Tanaka Ikueikai Educational Trust has three stories on the ground with two basement floors.
Secrets of reasonable tuition fees
Annual course fee is 570,000 (820,000 for one and a half year). Because we own the building of the school, and because we belong to a large education corporation, which runs many other vocational schools, our course fee can be reasonable. We are trying to lessen the economical burden so that students can concentrate on studying and perform to their utmost.
Nationality of the Students
We currently have students from China, South Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, Mongolia, Malaysia, Brunei, The Philippines, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Laos, Singapore, Iran, Kenya, Brazil, Peru, France, and Canada, etc.
Scholarship
Students are qualified to receive the scholarship and encouragement expense for foreign students/international transfer students provided by The Foundation of Promotional Association for Japanese Education. In 2006, two students (one Chinese, one Korean) out of 35 students in our school has received the scholarship. In 2007, One Chinese student out of 30 students has been given this scholarship.
Student Insurance
Our students have the student disaster/injury insurance provided by the Tokyo college association as our affiliated colleges.

As a part of Academic juridical corporation, various discounts will be gained such as transportation passes, long distance travels, movie tickets, etc.
